Summer Plans

“My barn having burned down, I can now see the moon.”

― Mizuta Masahide (17th century Japanese poet and samurai)

Summer's just around the corner may be filling up fast with work, travel plans, or family weekends. Maybe it’s the last summer before college or a full-time job. If you're young and between things you may feel not quite sure of yourself, or even a bit lost or fearful. You may be going a mile a minute but during the pauses in between all that, maybe you're disconnected or uncertain.

You can strengthen your “bounce back” during these times with a little work on resilience. How about taking some time this summer to think about what you value and embody? How do you see yourself now and what would you like to see in the future? Most importantly, how will you get there; what do you want to cultivate and what do you know is wasting time? How about your relationships, are they partnerships or are there imbalances that you wish were different?

What’s beautiful is that we actually have this knowledge about ourselves buried inside (like treasure) and may just need a little help listening to ourselves. We’ve also likely practiced the skills that get us where we want to go but could need a partner in figuring out how they apply to a different situation or person.

Coaching is a “thought-provoking and creative process*” partnership that inspires development of personal and professional potential. Why not try some sessions this summer and find ways to strengthen resilience as you take on your next mountains to climb?

Let's talk...
